Public hearings for the State electoral boundary redivision set to commence

Public hearings for those wishing to speak in support of their submission to the Electoral Boundaries Commission (EBC) on the 2020-21 State electoral boundary redivision will be held over two days from next week.

The EBC accepted 58 submissions before the close of stage one submissions at 5 pm Monday 1 March 2021, with 23 submitters requesting to speak in support of their submission.

The public hearings will be held online over two days:

Monday 29 March
Start: 9.45 am (with speakers commencing at 10 am)
Finish: 4 pm

Tuesday 30 March
Start: 10.50 am (with speakers commencing at 11 am)
Finish: 5 pm

A link to a live stream of the hearings and a schedule of speakers will be made available at ebc.vic.gov.au/CurrentRedivision/PublicHearings by 5 pm on Friday 26 March.

Stage one submissions received before 5 pm on Monday 1 March are available to view on the EBC website at ebc.vic.gov.au/CurrentRedivision/ViewSubmissions.

Transcripts of oral submissions and presentations from the public hearings will also be made available on the EBC website after the public hearings have concluded.
